Nominating committee per 7x24NorCal Chapter Bylaws, Article V – Election of Directors and Officers, paragraph 1, Nominating Committee; Chairperson and two board members elected by himself shall serve as the Nominations/Elections Committee.

Board Position Descriptions Available
The President oversees all activity of the organization and is a member of the Board. He/she is a partner with the Exec Director in achieving the organization's mission and report to the Board. He/she assists the Exec Director in developing the agenda for Board meetings. He/she appoints the chairpersons of committees, in consultation with the Exec Director and other Board members as needed. He/she serves ex official as a member of committees and attends their meetings when invited. He/she discusses issues confronting the organization with the Chairperson and help guide and mediate actions relative to overall operation of the organization. He/she review with the Exec Director any issues of concern to the Board. He/she reviews reports on organizational matters with the Secretary and financial issues with the Treasure and in conjunction with both prepare an annual report on the organization and present it to the Board. He/she works closely with Directors of Membership, Programs and Events to assure the organizational mission. He/she serves as a primary volunteer of the organization and participates in event and program fund raising as required. In the event that the Chairperson is unable to serve for any reason; the President shall exercise all the powers and discharge all the duties of Chairperson until the Chairperson resumes the Chairperson's duties or an Chairperson's successor is chosen.
The Treasurer shall have the general supervision of the financial affairs of the organization and is a member of the board. He/she shall be the Chairman of the Finance Committee and perform the entire duties incident to the office and such other duties assigned by the Board of Directors. The Treasurer may sign any check or other order of the 7x24 Exchange International, Northern California Chapter for the payment or transfer of money. The Treasurer produces an annual report on the financial conditions of the 7x24 Exchange International, Northern California Chapter for presentation to the membership and for the Board of Directors. The Treasurer is also responsible for the annual tax filing and reporting to the National 7x24 organization, and must fill out the 7X24 Exchange International Chapter Annual Report Checklist, with all completed yearly affiliation requirements by the annual March 31st deadline.
Director of Programs
Manages and organizes relevant topics, agenda and speakers for Chapter meetings. Runs Chapter meeting sub-committee team. Key goals are to ensure meeting topics are relevant and wide reaching to the target audience (which is ideally a split between end users and vendors), panelists and speakers are industry leaders (also split between end users and vendors) and the venues are appropriate for the audience. Panelists are typically 3 to 4 industry participants and a well experience moderator whose primary goal is to engage the audience and ensure even participation from the panelists.
Additional responsibilities include Venue selection, ensuring event is properly publicized, finding sponsors for the social event following the panel discussions, ensuring logistics are well implemented and tracking/reporting of expenses. Also reports event status from planning to successful execution to Chairman, President and Directors at Board of Directors meetings.
Advisory Board Members
An Advisory Board Member makes a serious commitment to participate actively in assisting other board members and committees when needed. He/she regularly attends board meetings and important related meetings of the organization. He/she volunteers for and willingly accepts assignments and completes them thoroughly and on time. He/she stays informed about board matters; prepare themselves well for board meetings, and reviews and comments on minutes and reports. He/she gets to know other board members and builds a collegial working relationship that contributes to a consensus. He/she actively participates in the board’s annual evaluation and planning efforts. He/she participates in event and program fund raising as required. This role is advisory and does not include voting authority.
Terms of Office
With the exception of the chairperson, election of Directors and Officers will be every year. Directors and Officers are elected for a one-year term. The chair position is elected for a three-year term to ensure the continuity of the chapter. There is no limit on the number of consecutive terms a Director or Officer can serve. Directors and Officers of 7x24 Exchange International, Northern California Chapter shall not receive compensation for services.
