Building an Efficient High Availability Data Center Facility

Bay Area Internet Solutions (BAIS ™ , Inc.), a premier facilities based Co-Location, Managed IT Solutions and High Speed Internet Access provider in Silicon Valley built a 83k sq. ft. high density, energy efficient data center facility in 2009, which entitled them to the Energy Innovator Award from Silicon Valley Power (SVP).

Tom Wye, BAIS President and CEO, will present about the challenges and trends of designing and building a high density facility, which is also “green”. This facility has been built to allow for incremental growth without major construction. In addition he will talk about their innovative economizer design and other energy saving measures and equipment BAIS used, which enabled them to receive maximum rebate and the Energy Innovator Award from SVP.

Gain insight from Nabeel Mahmood on the next generation compute, modular data center design concepts and what the future could and should look like.  This presentation is a brief introduction to Modular Data Centers: How do you build a highly flexible, modular, high-temp data center design that would allow solutions from today and tomorrow to snap in like Legos?  How would the infrastructure scale as needed rather than building out everything from day one.
